Providence Athletics has grown quickly over the past several years, and with that growth comes both opportunity and responsibility.
We now have expanding high school programs in soccer, volleyball, and basketball, continued opportunities for younger student-athletes, and new programs still being built. Our goal is not simply to offer more teams, but to give our athletes and coaches the resources needed to make those experiences excellent.
That is the purpose of the 2026 Providence Athletics Program-Wide Fundraiser, with a goal of raising at least $10,000 across the athletic program.
What does the fundraiser support?
Participation fees and gate revenue help, but they cover only part of the cost of operating a growing athletic program. Fundraiser support gives us greater ability to invest in needs such as:
- Officials and athletic trainer coverage
- Transportation and game-day expenses
- Uniforms, jerseys, and equipment
- Game balls, scorebooks, awards, and other team needs
- Goals, benches, and larger equipment purchases
- Start-up costs as new programs are added
- Video, livestreaming, and coaching technology
- Continued investment in attracting and supporting strong coaches
One new example is our move to Hudl, which will provide a school-wide platform for game film, coaching analysis, athlete highlights, opponent film exchange, and livestreaming across multiple sports. Two portable automated cameras will allow us to film games without requiring a dedicated volunteer camera operator.
Why a program-wide fundraiser?
A major goal is to strength Providence Athletics together, rather than asking each team to continually fundraise on its own (which often involves asking the same people multiple times a year or even each season).
Successful program-wide fundraising gives us more flexibility to respond to specific team needs throughout the year while reducing the likelihood that families will be asked to participate in additional team-specific fundraisers.
It also allows investments in resources like Hudl, athletic training, equipment, and facilities that benefit multiple teams and athletes over several seasons.
Participation means more than making a donation
This fundraiser is designed to reach beyond the families already inside Providence Academy.
Each athlete and family can make a meaningful difference simply by helping us expand the circle of people who know about and support Providence Athletics.
Families can help by:
- Purchasing a digital discount card for $25 with the potential to get many times that amount back in value from more than 1,000,000 local and national deals
- Making an additional contribution if they are able
- Sharing their athlete’s fundraiser page with grandparents, relatives, friends, and other supporters
- Using email, text, and social media to reach people beyond the Providence community
- Reconnecting with people who have supported Providence fundraisers in the past
- Participating in our August 30 neighborhood fundraising blitz
Not every family will participate in the same way or at the same level. A family that shares the fundraiser with several people can be just as important to the success of the campaign as a family that makes a direct contribution.
Our hope is for broad participation across Providence Athletics so that this becomes something we accomplish together.
